We all know what a choir is. And most of us know what worship leading is when we see it. But what do we mean by the term, “Worship Leading Choir?” Don’t all church choirs lead worship? The answer is,yes and no! Yes, in the sense that every “living sacrifice” offered by the believer is an act of worship, and every time any choir of believers sings about God in spirit and in truth it is an act of worship. But, No, in the sense that, until our hearts, minds and spirits are fully engaged in passionately glorifying Jesus in the congregation so that its members are drawn with us into an encounter with the living God,worship leading has not fully happened. Since 1969,Dave Williamson has been minister of music in churches ranging in attendance from 350 to 5000. A licensed pastor, his background is varied, having served in Baptist, Presbyterian, Missionary, charismatic, and non-denominational churches. His choirs and singing groups have been featured on dozens of recordings. He has produced and/or arranged for FFH, Larnelle Harris, Ron Kenoly, Babby Mason, The Martins, Point of Grace, Alvin Slaughter,Truth and scores more - over 500 major recording projects since 1970. He has been nominated for numerous Dove Awards, and has produced and arranged three “gold”records. Dave has written or arranged msuicals for virtually every major Christian music publisher.

The passion of Dave’s heart is to be part of seeing the choir in the church around the world rediscover God’s original plan for it - becoming Worship Leaders in the truest sense. He has dedicated his life to that objective. Dave lives in Brentwood,Tennessee, with his lyricist wife of thirty-four years, Jan. Dave and Jan’s oldest son, Scott, a drummer and record producer, lives nearby in Franklin,Tennessee, with his wife Vanessa,and their children,Garrett and Emma Rose.Their middle child, Aimee Joy Weimer, a recording session singer/worship leader, is married to Kevin Weimer and together with their own.
